Some minor behaviours observed and experienced in
our habitat- Constant whistling
- Continuously tapping pen or pencil
- Calling out
- Disruption of learning-constant talking
- Going missing - hiding - walkabout.
- Inappropriate language
- Misuse of equipment
- Throwing stationary/ habitat resources/equipment
- Riding wheelie chairs
Some strategies we can use to overcome these behaviours are:
- proximity control
- signal or non verbal cues
- proximity praise
- prompt
- redirect
- reteach
- provide choice
- conversation
